SCHEDULE

Design
The design portion of this project was done during fall quarter and was intended to complete three important components. These components include the work needed to complete the proposal, 12 analysis that were done according to RADD, and ANSI 10 Y14.5 drawings of components.

The 12 analysis were completed and turned in weekly throughout the fall and required the student to define a problem, find a solution, define a requirement, and find a design parameter from the analysis. This design parameter was then used in a ANSI Y14.5 drawing of a component. Lastly, the analysis and drawings were incorporated into the proposal.

Construction
The construction portion of the project will occur during the winter quarter of the school year. This portion of the project is intended to complete all the manufacturing of the students designed parts for the RC Baja car. The purchase of non designed parts should also occur during this portion of the project. Some example construction for the winter will be front/rear shock towers, and chassis assembly.

Testing
The testing portion of the project will occur during the spring quarter of the school year and is intended to complete the testing and evaluation of the student designed and manufactured parts of the RC Baja car. The requirements defined for each component, assembly, and system  are to be evaluated.
The systems to be tested for are the suspension and chassis systems. The main tests that will occur for these systems will be the front impact test and the drop test. The test results will then be documented, analyzed, and discussed.

Budget

Below is the budget for the RC Baja project for Winter quarter. So far a total of 35 parts will be needed to make the RC Baja car including the front/rear shock towers, motor, and servo. 19 of these 35 parts will need to be manufactured or 3D printed. It is also estimated that 100 hours of work will be required to complete the project. It is assumed that the team members would be getting paid 15/hr. if they were employed to make this RC car. The total cost of parts will roughly be 508.05$. The labor cost will be about 1500$ for 100 hours of work. In total, the budget came out to be 2008.05$

Why this Project will be Successful
This project will be successful because the team will work hard to accomplish their goals and both members will use what they have learned from the past 4 years here at Central Washington University to be the best that they can be. They will also have the assistance of their professors if needed for advice or needing help in the lab to use equipment. With these skills the project will be successful and complete by the due date.
